AI-Powered Fan Engagement at London NFL Event: Experience Kissimmee's Brand Activation Success

Every so often, we’re fortunate to work on projects that let us push the boundaries of experiential marketing and deliver truly unique brand activations. This October, we had the opportunity to do just that in collaboration with our friends at Experience Kissimmee.

As an official partner of the Jacksonville Jaguars, Experience Kissimmee approached us to create a fan engagement activation for the Jaguars’ Fan Zone at Wembley Stadium, London, ahead of the their match against the New England Patriots. We were delighted to bring our expertise to this high-profile London event.

The Brief

Experience Kissimmee’s brief was straightforward: design a memorable fan activation that would energise the crowd and build anticipation before kick-off.

The main objectives were:

  • Increasing brand awareness

  • Helping to grow its database through data capture technology

  • Producing user-generated content which could be used following the match

Armed with these goals, our team set to work, brainstorming activation ideas that would leave a lasting impact.

The Solution

Through our ideation process, we proposed a few different concepts to Experience Kissimmee, from our brand-new Holobox activation, through to our bullet time activation, 3D Photography.

One activation, though, really captured our client’s imagination - our A.I. Photo Booth. Through this unique, AI-driven experience, we’d allow fans to step into the role of an NFL player, with the booth instantly transforming them into pro athletes.

After a series of tests and refinements, we received the ‘green light’ to move forward with the AI Photo Booth.

Our team worked tirelessly to build a premium experience, customising the software to mirror each fan’s unique pose, making the final product both immersive and personal. We also revisited the client’s original objectives throughout the build to ensure that the activation hit all targets for brand visibility, data capture, and content creation.

Increased Brand Awareness

To elevate brand awareness for both Experience Kissimmee and the Jacksonville Jaguars, we integrated branding at every step of the user journey. This included:

  • Custom-branded user interface (UI) screens throughout every stage of the AI Photo Booth experience.

  • A branded email template for fans who chose to share their content via email.

  • A branded microsite serving as an online gallery, showcasing the user-generated content for fans to revisit and share post-event.

  • Exterior booth branding via our vinyl wrap service, attracting even those who weren’t directly participating in the activation.

This strategic branding not only captured the attention of fans using the booth but also generated visibility among the larger crowd, reinforcing both brands’ presence in this London fan zone activation.

Data Capture

Understanding that data capture was a priority, we introduced an on-screen form for fans to complete just before sharing their content. This straightforward form asked for only the essentials: name, email address, and an opt-in checkbox for receiving further communications.

User-Generated Content (UGC)

Our AI Photo Booth also helped generate high-quality user-generated content that Experience Kissimmee could use across multiple platforms. The booth included an on-screen content disclaimer, securing fans’ permission to use their images on the Experience Kissimmee website, social media, and in future promotional campaigns related to its partnership with the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Results

Our AI Photo Booth activation was a tremendous success. Fans were eager to participate, and the activation drew a steady queue throughout the event. Key results included:

  • Over 450 sessions

  • An online reach north of 29,100

  • Online impressions in excess of 94,450

Furthermore, we were delighted to see that we were able to harvest over 210 new data records for Experience Kissimmee, equating to a new data record every 1.48 minutes! In percentage terms, this works out at a 95% opt-in rate.

And finally, with regards to UGC, fans were enthusiastic about sharing their experience, effectively becoming brand ambassadors for both Experience Kissimmee and the Jaguars. Over the course of the event, the booth created more than 400 branded images, achieving a 100% success rate in securing usage rights, making this activation a treasure trove of sharable, authentic content.

With such strong engagement, the activation met every objective set out in the initial brief.

Moreover, this was an incredibly fun project to work on, and the team at both Experience Kissimmee and the Jacksonville Jaguars were a delight to work with.
