TatYou — Temporary Tattoo Activation Hire for Events & Brand Campaigns
The queue forms fast. Tattoos apply in seconds. Within the first hour, your brand is on the skin of dozens of attendees — being photographed, filmed, and posted without being prompted. TatYou is one of the most consistently high-dwell activations we deliver: a custom temporary tattoo experience that turns brand exposure into genuine audience participation.
Social Jungle have deployed TatYou at music festivals, sports fan zones, brand launches, and corporate events across Scotland and the UK. Our event team manages the entire activation on the day — from tattoo application to GDPR-compliant data capture — so your brand gets the engagement and the insight without the operational overhead.
This page covers how TatYou works, what it can do for your campaign, who it’s the right fit for, and how to bring it to your next event.

TatYou in action at the Barclays Glasgow campus for ISS UK. Our brand ambassador applies a custom temporary tattoo in seconds — no mess, no fuss, just a crowd-pleasing moment every time.
What Is It?
TatYou is a custom temporary tattoo activation unit that applies high-quality, branded or personalised tattoos directly to skin in seconds. Using a precision transfer system, our team can apply a high volume of tattoos per hour — each one clean, vivid, and ready to photograph immediately. There are no needles, no mess, and no long-term commitment: tattoos last around two days and remove cleanly with soap and water.
The setup is built to draw a crowd. We construct a vintage tattoo parlour environment around the unit — complete with an authentic tattoo chair, branded backdrop, and custom pop-up banners — turning the activation into a destination within your event space. People queue because they want to, not because they’re directed to.
What Can It Do?
TatYou works as a standalone activation or as part of a wider experiential campaign. These are the key capabilities our clients deploy most.
Live Custom Design
Attendees create their own tattoo design on an intuitive touchscreen before application — their name, a phrase, a team crest, or artwork built from a design library. This level of personalisation drives longer dwell time and stronger social sharing, because what participants leave with is genuinely theirs.
Pre-Designed Brand Artwork
For brand activations, we preload TatYou with client-approved artwork — logos, campaign visuals, mascots, slogans, or event-specific designs. Every tattoo applied becomes a piece of branded content on a real person at a real event, with reach that continues long after the activation closes.
GDPR-Compliant Data Capture
Our team can integrate participant data capture into the activation flow — email opt-ins, competition entries, CRM sign-ups. All capture processes are GDPR-compliant, with participant disclaimers reviewed and approved by the client before the event. Brand engagement that also feeds your marketing pipeline.
Safe, Compliant Inks
TatYou tattoos use cosmetic-grade ink and a non-toxic primer, fully compliant with EU cosmetics regulations (CPNP & SCPN). A full ingredient list is available on request. The activation is suitable for adults and supervised children, making it a versatile choice across audience types.
Who Is It For?
TatYou works wherever you need high dwell time, memorable interaction, and content that travels beyond the event itself.
Sports Clubs and Fan Zones
Kit supporters out with team crests, player numbers, or campaign artwork and watch the content spread. Launched at the SWPL Sky Sports Cup Final, TatYou is a reliable fixture at championship fan zones, supporter events, and pre-match activations. Browse our fan experience activations to see how we build full fan engagement programmes around live sport.
Brand Activations and Experiential Marketing
If your campaign needs a genuine talking point, TatYou delivers one. Attendees become brand carriers — wearing your artwork for up to two days after the event — while the social content generated at the activation extends reach well past the day itself. Pair it with a GlamCam or AI photo booth for a multi-activation brand experience.
Festivals and Concerts
Festivals run on self-expression, and TatYou plugs directly into that energy. Whether it’s a music festival, arts event, or cultural celebration, the temporary tattoo parlour consistently draws one of the longest dwell times on-site. It’s inclusive, interactive, and works across age groups.
Family-Friendly Events
The activation is fully suitable for children (with parental consent) as well as adults, making it a strong choice for shopping centre campaigns, community events, and public-facing brand days where you need genuine appeal across the whole audience.

-
TatYou tattoos last approximately two days on average, though this varies depending on skin type, tattoo placement, and factors such as contact with water or friction. They can be removed at any time using soap and water — no special products required. The short duration is intentional: attendees get the experience and the shareable content without any lasting commitment.
-
Yes. TatYou can be preloaded with client-supplied artwork ahead of the event — logos, campaign visuals, mascots, or event-specific designs. We recommend providing artwork in vector format (SVG or PDF) for the sharpest results. If you need designs created, our in-house team can prepare a custom library ahead of the activation.
-
Yes. TatYou uses cosmetic-grade ink and a non-toxic primer, both fully compliant with EU cosmetics regulations (CPNP & SCPN). The activation is suitable for children with a parent or guardian present to provide consent. A full ingredient list is available on request for advance review before the event.

Application time per tattoo is typically under 60 seconds, so throughput is high. The exact number per hour depends on design complexity, time spent on the custom design touchscreen, and whether data capture is part of the activation flow. For high-volume events, we can discuss setup options to maximise throughput when you get in touch.

A standard TatYou hire package includes the printing unit, tablet device, and consumables (ink and primer). The beauty of TatYou is that it’s completely scalable; on top of the standard package, there’s also the option add on extras, such as a full branded parlour environment (vintage tattoo chair, branded backdrop, and pop-up banner), and our trained event team for the duration of the activation. GDPR-compliant data capture and bespoke design creation can be added to the package — just tell us what your event needs when you enquire.
